If you are age 60 or above and generally in good health, this is your opportunity to help advance
medical knowledge while being compensated for your time.
According to the National Institutes of Health, research studies are at the heart of all medical
advances. Research studies seek to find new ways to prevent, detect, or treat disease, and to
determine if these new approaches are safe and effective.
Right now, K2 Medical Research is seeking generally healthy individuals ages 60 and up to
participate in one of our prevention research studies. Our current studies include clinical trials on
the prevention of memory loss, Alzheimer's disease, and respiratory illness. There is no charge
for study participation, and up to $2,000 compensation may be available for study completion.
Participation in clinical research is one of the best ways to advance new knowledge and contribute to the development of new treatments. This is why we hope you will provide us with your contact information. If you provide us with your contact information, we will promptly reach out and provide you with more information about our study so you can decide if participation is right for you.
Please contact us about participating in one of these important research studies if you satisfy these conditions: |
|
* You are 60 years of age or older |
|
* You are generally healthy |
This is not a complete list of requirements for study participation. The study center staff will
explain the other requirements to you.
Your contact information will remain confidential and will only be used to contact you regarding
participation in this study.
Participants who satisfy applicable requirements may be compensated up to $2,000 for study completion. The amount of compensation available and the applicable requirements will be discussed by the staff at the study center.
If you have interest for yourself or a loved one in participating or just wish to learn more, please provide your contact information. We will contact you within two business days after your submission.
Doctors and scientists are constantly discovering new medications and devices that may help prevent, detect, diagnose, control, and treat illnesses. A clinical trial or research study is a scientific study that tests these new discoveries. Research studies depend upon the participation of volunteers.
There is no guarantee that subjects will receive any benefit from participating in this study. However, this research study may yield new information that could benefit people in the future by helping to answer questions about the effectiveness and safety of the investigational medication.
Participation in a research study is completely voluntary. In all research studies, qualified potential participants are first informed about the research study in detail. After receiving this information, all participants must give their consent in writing to proceed. Some research studies involve more tests and doctor visits than the participant would normally have for an illness or condition.
Health Insurance is NOT required to participate.
You will not be charged for the investigational medication, study-related procedures and tests, or
study visits.
Before participating in a research study, volunteers must meet specific requirements. These requirements are based on various factors, such as age, medical history, current health status, current medications, and allergies. The circumstances that allow a person to participate are called Inclusion Criteria and those that prevent participation are called Exclusion Criteria. These requirements are used to ensure the accuracy of the study as well as the safety of all participants. We will not know whether you satisfy all study requirements until we speak with you and, if appropriate, complete a screening assessment at our facilities.
At K2, we have made it our mission to begin a new standard for how clinical trials are delivered.
Our goal is to offer clinical trials as a practical healthcare option for our local communities,
create global awareness of the importance of research in improving health, and ultimately make a
positive impact on the world around us.
